Export regularly. Contacts stored only on this iPhone can be lost if the browser's data is cleared or the phone is replaced.
The downloaded backup is readable without your PIN. Keep it somewhere private. Imported people without a recognized category go into OTHER Peeps. Birthday updates keep existing contacts in their current categories.
